Recruitment agencies turning to websites to scoop candidates
Job websites are recording increased numbers of visitors as the credit crunch hits employment levels herd. Recruitment agencies are looking to capitalise by filling their databases using online job sites.
For many recruitment agencies their business is candidate driven, that is the amount of money they can make is restricted more by having the right candidates, or not, than necessarily having more vacancies.
In recent weeks, more and more are turning to internet job sites to scoop larger and larger numbers of people seeking work online due to redundancy.
According to Neilson, the market research firm, visitors to job websites are up by 17% on the same period last year. Reed, one of the largest recruitment agencies in the UK is reporting job applications up by 30% on the same period next year.
