Profits soar for Welsh niche recruitment agency.

In an economy where the only direction seems to be down, a Welsh niche recruitment agency is reporting a 20% increase in it's business in 2008.

Some, if not many, of the large generalist recruitment agencies are shedding staff as fast as they can to counter the economic downturn this year.  Yet Welsh recruitment agency, Intapeople have reported a 20% increase in their business in 2008.

Their managing director feels the success is due to their niche specialty, as a supplier of high skilled workers in the IT and engineering sectors, the high skilled end of any market tends to be the bit which remains while the lower skilled roles are where companies seek o save their money.

Intapeople reckon demand for engineers has risen by 60% this year and plan to increase their consultants from 27 to 40 to capitalise on this rise.
