South Wales based Recruitment firm win a huge recruitment contract as part of a £70 million pound investment.
Danish-owned Rockwool manufacturers mineral wool insulation for thermal, fire and acoustic protection. The firm has invested £70 million in its operations in Pencoed, Bridgend to increase its 440 person workforce by 25%. The increase in staff is required as the firm plans to create a third production line in its Pencoed base.
Managing director of Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment, Jennifer Griffiths, said
“South
Wales has seen several factory closures during the past 18 months and
more than 1,000 jobs have been lost, so I am particularly proud that we
have been selected to help Rockwool sustain and build economic
prosperity in the region”. She also added that “the company will be
looking to recruit from all sections of the community, including female
employees wishing to secure quality and well-paid jobs.”
Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment began in 1969 with a purpose to fill vacancies with local workers, this is not the first time the two companies have done business together, with the recruitment agency being used when Rockwool opened in 1979.
The recruitment drive is expected to take up to a year to complete, those interested should be safe in the knowledge that more information is likely to appear on both companies websites as more information becomes available.
