Page Rank increase promises improved SEO results for recruitment jobs site

Recruitment careers has increased it's page rank from 3 to 4 with encouraging implications of search engine ranking.

The site for jobs in recruitment has been a PR 3 for the last year.  Following persistent SEO work the rank has finally risen.

Google uses page rank as a measure of 'importance' as relevant for search engine lisitng. Hence the rise in page rank should have a positive impact of the search engine results the recruitment jobs site is getting.
