New research shows increased popularity of online recruitment
New research out today confirms that online recruitment is delivering more candidates than other forms of recruitment advertising and as a results is making it easier to find the right candidates

Around ¾ of employers say that online recruitment produces more prospects, whilst 1/5 said it was no better with on 1/20 saying it was worse.
Opinion was more divided regarding the ability of online recruitment to bring in high quality candidates, with 1/4 saying online recruitment brought better quality candidates, ½ saying it is no different and ¼ saying it was worse. The notion that online recruitment made is easier to find the right candidates brought a clearer picture with only 1/10 saying that it was a worse approach, the remaining 9/10 split equally between those who thought online recruitment was either the same or better than other methods.
The survey also looked at whether online recruitment made recruitment easier to administer, with 7/10 saying this was the case, 2/10 saying it was no different and only 1/10 saying that it was worse.
The survey looked at the use on online recruitment tools such as psychometric testing, and verbal and numerical reasoning. In some specific sectors this has become common practise, however, overall only 1/5 firms use these online recruitment tools to aid the selection process.
A final part of the survey showed that only 1/6 organisations where employing Search engine optimisation techniques (SEO) in order to gain high search engine rankings generate traffic through google and other search engines.
This survey question around 120 professionals from organisations representing over half a million employees.
