Headhunter jobs
Headhunter jobs require a different set of skills and motivations to that of a recruitment consultant.
A recruitment consultant relies on advertising, a database and perhaps in combination with a resourcer to generate his candidates. A Headhunter quite simply identifies suitable people and makes a direct approach. Clients may like this as it's highly targeted and allows them to present a highly specific brief with a good hope of success.
Many clients are wary of a headhunter as they clearly have the potential to poach staff from them as well a finding people for them. A good headhunter can make excellent profits, particularly as their overheads are low. Recruitment advertising is a major expense to an ordinary recruitment business, something the headhunter doesn't concern himself with. Top headhunters can earn six figure sums.
