Interview checklist for jobs in recruitment

  • CV up to date, no gaps in time. All recruitment jobs or sales jobs giving clear evidence of sccesses achieved.
  • All qualifications documented in brag file, along with driving licence andother certificates.
  • Company researched in detail, internet searches, research via other recruitment consutlants, speak with customers
  • Best business ware dry cleaned, shoes polished.
  • Route to interview well planned/timed, with extra time allowed for traffic jams, late trains/buses, tornados and other natural disasters...if it matters, go early and add an extra hour for good measure, if you're late, you've had it no matter what your excuse!
  • Spotless brief case or bag containing well organised brag file, first impressions last!
  • Intelligent questions prepared for the end of the interview, notepad available to note responses.
  • Sold the job to yourself before the interview? Recruiting managers will only consider people who really want a particular job in recruitment, being open at interview if you're not sure about it simply removes your choices as you won't be considered anyway afterwards!
  • Coathangers at the ready, smile for your country, it'll always impress.
